UTILITY HISTORYBlue Ridge water: three city wells in the Woodbine Aquifer
Blue Ridge relies on groundwater alone. Its 2025 water quality report lists only well sources, and a 2020 federal grant application says the city gets all of its drinking water from the Woodbine Aquifer through three wells it owns. That application, which sought help replacing about 500 water meters, said the existing meters dated back to the 1930s and that the system then served 441 customers, including 25 outside the city limits. In 2017 the city pumped 39,802,240 gallons for treatment.
