UTILITY HISTORYColleyville water: Lake Arlington through the TRA
Colleyville's water is treated by the Tarrant County Water Supply Project, a Trinity River Authority system that draws from Lake Arlington and serves about 250,000 people in five cities. Lake Arlington is a City of Arlington reservoir on Village Creek that began filling on July 19, 1957. Since 1973 the Tarrant Regional Water District has been able to release Cedar Creek pipeline water into Village Creek to top up the lake, and in 1975 the district began selling raw water to the authority for this project.
