UTILITY HISTORYArgyle Water Supply Corporation: Corral City's provider
Corral City relies on Argyle Water Supply Corporation, which pumps groundwater from Trinity Aquifer wells in Denton County and buys treated surface water from the Upper Trinity Regional Water District. In 1986 local cities and utilities began meeting with the City of Dallas about future supplies; about thirty of them backed a plan, aided by a state grant, that became law on June 6, 1989. Upper Trinity's regional plant treats water from Lewisville Lake and Jim Chapman Lake. Chapman Lake's dam was finished in 1991, and the lake took that name in 1998.
