Its raw water comes from Lake Worth, Lake Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain Lake, Benbrook Lake, Richland Chambers and Cedar Creek reservoirs and the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. Fort Worth owns Lake Worth, the Corps of Engineers runs Benbrook, and the Tarrant Regional Water District, formed in 1924 after a 1922 flood, manages the rest.
