UTILITY HISTORYHackberry water: town wells and North Texas lake water
The City of Hackberry operates its own public water system. Its 2025 water quality report describes the system as purchased surface water and lists three groundwater well sites by name: End of Maxwell Road, Morris Terrace and Lake Country. Treated surface water arrives through an interconnection with the City of Frisco and is supplied by the North Texas Municipal Water District, passing through Frisco. The district was created in 1951 as a special district of the state, with ten original member cities.
