UTILITY HISTORYLakeside water: a town that relies on its own wells
Unlike most of its Tarrant County neighbors, the Town of Lakeside does not buy lake water. Its 2025 water quality report describes the system simply as groundwater and lists 16 town wells, 15 of them active, at sites on Watercress Drive, Confederate Park, Aquilla Street and Mary Jane Lane. The town's location on Lake Worth does not make the lake its source: that reservoir belongs to Fort Worth.
