UTILITY HISTORY

Lakewood Village water: three wells, three aquifers

Wells came early in Lakewood Village. The town's history notes that in its development years, wells were drilled and a water and sewer system was built before many neighboring communities had one. The town's 2025 report lists three wells, all at 100 Highridge Drive: one in the Woodbine Aquifer, one in the Paluxy and one in the deeper Twin Mountains formation. The state's source water assessment rated the supply's susceptibility as low for every contaminant category.
