UTILITY HISTORY

Palmer water: bought from neighboring Rockett SUD

Palmer's 2025 water report lists a single source: treated surface water purchased from Rockett Special Utility District. Rockett began as the Rockett Water Supply Corporation, established January 29, 1965, and became a special utility district on November 21, 1989. Rockett in turn buys from two suppliers: the Robert W. Sokol Water Treatment Plant, which treats water from Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers reservoirs, and the City of Midlothian, whose supply includes Joe Pool Lake. A January 2024 state planning summary likewise lists Palmer's current sources as Joe Pool Lake and the Tarrant Regional Water District's reservoir system.
