UTILITY HISTORYCity of Sansom Park: a groundwater system
Sansom Park runs a groundwater system rather than buying lake water day to day. Its 2025 water quality report says the city provides water from the Paluxy and Trinity (Twin Mountains) aquifers in Tarrant County. The city also holds a contract with the City of Fort Worth for emergency water purchases and uses it only in exceptionally extreme water emergencies. Fort Worth's own supply comes from lakes run largely by the Tarrant Regional Water District, established in 1924.
