UTILITY HISTORY

Caddo Mills water: bought from Greenville and Cash SUD

Caddo Mills does not produce its own water. Its 2025 report lists two sources, both treated surface water: a connection with the City of Greenville and one with Cash Special Utility District near Interstate 30. Greenville's water plant pumps raw water from Lake Tawakoni through 20 miles of pipeline and also manages the city's own reservoirs, and it has held a place in the state's optimization program for treatment plants since 1997. Lake Tawakoni, owned by the Sabine River Authority, was formed by Iron Bridge Dam, built from 1958 to 1960.
