UTILITY HISTORYCombine Water Supply Corp.: Dallas water via Seagoville
Combine Water Supply Corporation serves the town, but it does not treat water itself. It buys water from the City of Seagoville, which in turn gets surface water from Dallas Water Utilities, so Combine's supply passes through two neighbors before it arrives. Dallas uses six lakes, Ray Hubbard, Tawakoni, Fork, Ray Roberts, Lewisville and Grapevine, along with the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. Two of those, Ray Roberts and Lake Fork, trace to a long-range plan the Dallas City Council adopted in 1975, which authorized contracts to develop them.
