UTILITY HISTORYCorinth water: bought from Upper Trinity
Corinth buys treated surface water from the Upper Trinity Regional Water District, whose regional plant takes its water from Lewisville Lake in Denton County. Upper Trinity grew out of talks that began in 1986, when Denton County cities and utilities met with Dallas about future water supplies. About 30 of them backed a regional plan, the Texas Legislature passed the founding bill, and the governor signed it on June 6, 1989. Corinth's wastewater goes to the City of Denton or to Upper Trinity, depending on the part of town.
