UTILITY HISTORYKrugerville water: from Kruger Waterworks onward
Krugerville's first water came from a private system, Kruger Waterworks, which was expanded twice to keep up with the community's growth in its early years. Today the town lies in the service area of Mustang Special Utility District, which began as Mustang Water Supply Corporation, incorporated on May 13, 1966, with 50 connections and five board members. Its 2025 report says Mustang now supplies groundwater from the Trinity and Woodbine aquifers, buys more from Sherman, and buys treated surface water from Upper Trinity, drawn from Jim Chapman and Lewisville lakes.
