UTILITY HISTORY

City of Saginaw: all Fort Worth water

Saginaw buys 100 percent of its drinking water from the City of Fort Worth, which completes all treatment at its own plants, according to the city's 2024 water quality report. Fort Worth uses surface water from Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Bridgeport, Richland-Chambers Reservoir, Cedar Creek Reservoir, Lake Benbrook and the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. Four of those lakes are owned and operated by the Tarrant Regional Water District, which was established in 1924 and completed Lake Bridgeport in 1931 and Eagle Mountain Lake in 1932.
